3rd @ CBC

The girls' team also ran very well and finished where many people expected them to in 3rd place, trailing only Tecumseh, a D1 school, and Northwestern. Even with the Homecoming Dance consuming most of their thoughts, the girls had their best collective performance of the season with many girls running personal bests. Their top 5 average time was 20:36, was only 12 seconds behind 2nd place rival Northwestern.
Katie Landwehr finished 3rd overall with a personal best time of 19:08. She has been running speed workouts with the junior varsity boys' team the last three weeks and has even ran on the long runs with the varsity boys' team. Katie has her sights set on breaking the 19 minute barrier and qualifying to state individually. Jessica Bruggerman finished 15th with a time of 20:40. Peyton Miller finished 19th with a time of 20:44. Allison Chin finished 23rd with a time of 21:01. Tracy Fujimura finished 32nd with a time of 21:29. Corrie Jones finished 36th with a time of 21:39, and Flora Hernandez finished 45th with a time of 22:10. Despite season ending injuries to varsity runners Leah Schiller and Alex Mahan, the girls' team still has a realistic opportunity at qualifying to the state cross country meet after finishing only one place shy of qualifying last year.
